Whatever brought you to this page, reaching it was a strong and good step. Free, confidential help is available across India, right now, in many languages. You deserve support, today, exactly as you are.
Please call the national emergency number 112 now, or go to the nearest hospital emergency department. Do not wait.
Helpline numbers and hours can change. If a number does not connect, please try another on this list, or call 14416, the government's national line.
A trained, non-judgemental person listens. You do not need the right words, a diagnosis, or a plan. You can cry, sit silent, or just say "I'm not okay." Calls are confidential, and you can hang up whenever you wish. People who call usually say the hardest part was dialling, and that it got easier from the first hello.
Stay with them, or stay on the phone with them. Ask directly and gently how bad it has gotten; asking does not plant ideas, it opens doors. Listen more than you advise. Help them call one of the lines above, or call with them. If there is immediate danger, treat it as the emergency it is and call 112. You do not have to fix anything tonight; you just have to help them stay safe and not alone.
When the immediate weight lifts a little, ongoing support helps it stay liftable: a therapist, a doctor, or both. When you are ready, and only then, our verified therapists at Souled Connect are a gentle place to start, and our Therapy Reader explains everything about how therapy works here.
Socially Souled is an education and community organisation, not a crisis service, and this page is not a substitute for emergency care. The helplines listed are independent services; we list them as a public resource.
